Step Up to That New Career

Business professionals (i.e., salaried exempt employees in leadership roles): As an expert trainer and coach, I want to help you land that next job. I see so many internet posts where somebody is struggling with their job search. I know how frustrating that can be because there was a time when I also struggled. Here are some things for you to consider:

  • You are trying hard to land that next job but trying hard isn’t landing you a new job in today’s job market.

  • Updating your resume is essential, but it isn’t enough.

  • If you are going to submit a cover letter, it is essential that it be beautifully written, but it is not enough.

  • Having a positive attitude is essential, but it isn’t enough.

  • It is essential that you be prepared for an interview, but it is not enough.

I am not a negative person. Really!

You can land that dream job and you can do it in a relatively short amount of time. You need to know that preparation for a successful transition to that next job is a process. I use a ten-step process. It is not about spending more time. It is about doing the right things in the right sequence. The early steps in the process will prepare you for the latter steps in the process. I have been teaching this process to professionals and the results have been excellent. And the time it will take, will be shorter than the hit-and-miss approach you’re probably using now.

I also know that you may not want to sit through a training seminar. And you may not want to be coached by a stranger you have never met. So, I am going to make it easy for you. You will find the total process in my book “Step Up to That Next Career.” You may not be looking to change careers, but you will find that the process works for you too. You may be over 40 years of age and you are concerned that you may be too old. You are not. This book will give you what you need to know.
